About

Oahu APA is the #1 Amateur Pool League in Hawaii with over 70 teams and over 450 active members competing weekly on Oahu. We offer local pool play in a well-organized and professionally managed amateur 8-Ball and 9-Ball, pool leagues. We have to thank all of our players and give them all the credit for the success of the League! We are the fastest growing League in the area because of our members and hope they realize the bigger we are, the better we’ll get!

Teams consist of 5-8 players with a low weekly fee of $50 per team or $10/player plus a $25 annual membership fee. These teams compete in local divisions where we try to group the APA Hosting Taverns geographically to minimize traveling distance. The year is divided into 3 sessions, with each session running between 15 and 18 weeks including play-offs. Teams may play any day, Sunday through Thursday, so it’s easy to fit the APA into your schedule.

You can compete in weekly pool leagues in a fun and exciting format with family, friends and co-workers. On top of the league night fun and excitement, players and teams have the opportunity to win cash, trophies, and award patches. Teams then advance to our Local Team Championships and compete for the right to represent Hawaii in Las Vegas at the APA World Pool Championships. In fact, the winning teams can enjoy the luxury of travel assistance for airfare and hotel accommodations. Oahu APA offers over $40,000 Local Prize Fund and growing!! Players also have the option of playing in one or more of our many tournaments that are for APA players only.

One reason the APA Pool Leagues are so popular is because of The Equalizer®, APA’s copyrighted handicap and scoring system that allows all players to compete nearly equally, regardless of level of skill or experience. With this unique system, the league offers a great experience for beginners and highly skilled players alike. With the APA and The Equalizer® handicap system it’s really true that “Everyone Can Play… Anyone Can Win®”

When it comes to amateur pool leagues, the APA is constantly setting the standard for others to follow and is widely known as “The Governing Body of Amateur Pool”. It’s no wonder that the APA is the largest amateur pool league in the world with over 270,000 members.
